Katrina Wilkop

Work History:

Worked as a Physiotherapist since graduating in 1994 in many different settings including hospital, community, private, aged care and early intervention.

Moved to Clare from Adelaide in 2006 and worked for 12 years at Country Health SA.

Since 2010 have worked in the early intervention space.

Started Play Partners in February of 2016.
Three words to describe yourself: Approachable, encouraging, organised.
Favourite childhood memory:
Going to Melbourne to visit grandparents and cousins.
Favourite childhood game:
Building cubby houses out of all sorts including mud!
Favourite movie:
The never-ending story, any Christmas movie.
If this wasn't your career, what would you be doing?
I used to want to be a teacher. Now I would choose something creative like writing or floristry. I would also be interested in marine biology.
Interests outside of work:
I enjoy catching up with my adult children, gardening, reading or listening to audiobooks and being creative in any way.
Ashley Doubtfire
Occupational Therapist

Graduated in 2019 and began work at Play Partners in 2020

Favourite childhood memory:
Going on camping trips around South Australia with my family
Performing in dance concerts
Learning to cook with my grandmother

Hide and seek with my sister and cluedo
Favourite movie:
There are so many to pick from! I always enjoy watching Harry Potter, Twilight, Shrek, musicals like Mamma Mia and Hairspray, and of course, Disney movies.
If this wasn't your career, what would you be doing?
I have always seen myself as someone who values helping others and I have wanted to be a therapist for a long time. If I wasn’t an OT, I would have looked into nursing, psychology or teaching.
Interests outside of work:
Reading, looking after and collecting house plants, netball, spending time with friends and family, going to the theatre or watching musical movies, cooking.

Jo Pilgrim
Speech Pathologist

I have worked for SA Health since June 1995.

I have worked for Yorke and Northern Local health Network in Clare since November 1996 - present. In each of these positions I have held a Rural Generalist role providing speech pathology services to Adults and Paediatrics with Communication and Swallowing difficulties. More recently I worked with children with Disability providing services through the NDIS

I started working one day a week for Play Partners in October 2017

All the outdoor activities I did with my family - camping, skiing, bushwalking, sailing, windsurfing.

Sardines - one person hides. Everyone looks for them and when they find them they also climb into the hiding place.

Mama Mia or Pitch Perfect or The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel
Interests outside of work:
My family, our dog, camping, dancing, walking, hanging out with friends, taking kids to sports, going to the beach and the snow covered mountains..

I have been employed as a children's educator over the past 12 years. I have supported children with challenging behaviours, children with complex learning difficulties and disabilities.

I have consolidated by learning and knowledge in speech and language by completing a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance.
